Pricing Principle
At Konicom, our policy is
"No data, no charge!"
If we are unable to recover any data that is important to you, there is no charge. However, if we are able to recover
a portion of the important data, the recovery price is the same if you still want the partial data. The recovery price
is determined by the time and effort spent on recovering the data, not the actual amount of data.
Customers must verify their recovered data upon checkout, there are no refunds once the data leaves our premises.
The following pricing guide can give you general idea of how much data recovery will cost, however a more specific estimate will be provided after
your media is evaluated.

Pricing Guide
Memory Stick Logical Data Recovery - $150 to $299
Konicom offers Logical Data Recovery
on the following media types: USB Flash Drive, CD, DVD, floppy disk, SD Card, Compact Flash Card, camera memory cards,
Memory Stick, and Secure Digital Flash Card. Data recovery for smartphones such as LG Android, Samsung Galaxy, BlackBerry, Apple iPhone, and more starts at $200.
Due to the additional labor involved with physical damage to the above media types, Physical
Data Recoveryfor the above media types cost $300 and up.
Tier 1 PC Data Recovery - From $150 to $299
Data loss due to human error usually falls into this price category. Specifically, Tier 1 data recovery
is used for accidental data deletion, hard drive formatting, operating system loss, and other filesystem
errors due to missing system files. Only basic data recovery software is needed for these situations.
Additional charges may apply for recoveries involving large amounts of data transfer to storage devices.
Tier 2 PC Data Recovery - From $300 to $599
Tier 2 data recovery involves a more invasive approach. This includes fixing issues such as minor physical
damage or serious Logical problems with the media. This can include operating system corruption, database
index corruption, firmware corruption, and severe file structure damage.
Cases in which a hard drive makes a clicking noise usually fall in the high end of the Tier 2 data recovery
price range and may move into Tier 3 data recovery if donor parts are needed. More time and effort may be
required to recover the data in these cases.
Tier 3 PC Data Recovery - $600 and up
Physical damage, clicking sounds, and unresponsive hard drives are just some examples of issues that require Tier 3 data recovery.
In some cases a hard drive may not fully function yet after more basic data recovery, or after extracting the data we may encounter
severe file structure damage. These situations can also lead to a Tier 3 data recovery.
In order to recover the data, clean room procedures may be required. These delicate procedures require a trained professional in order
to recover the data successfully. Whether the data is recovered successfully or not, we cover the cost of all parts.
